Drop‑Down Lists

Drop-down lists are used to both control and facilitate making entries. The user must pick from the items on the drop-down list.

There are several drop‑down lists used in the system for which you define the list items. The following drop-down lists are reserved by the system and cannot be deleted.

  • Document Type. A drop-down list that is available on the New Document and Edit Document pages.
  • Miscellaneous. A drop-down list that is available on the New Document and Edit Document pages.

NOTE: This field is not used for the status field on the document list. It is for reference only.

  • Shift. A drop-down list that is available on the New User and Edit User pages.

NOTE: Deleting a drop-down list item must be done very carefully. You will no longer be able to search for documents on deleted drop-down list items.
